Early Presidents Notes & Quiz
- Students created a two-column graphic organizer for the first 5 presidents of the United States. One column is labeled "Description of President" and the other is labeled "Important Events". They took notes using the History Channel documentary linked below (Ultimate Guide to the Presidents: Assume the Position) and the Google Slideshow linked below (Early Presidents Notes). Students were instructed to include all of the information from the slideshow in their notes in order to be successful on the quiz.
- When the notes were complete, students took an open-note, fill-in-the-blank quiz over the first 5 presidents. Students can complete the notes using the links here, and then they will need to request the quiz in class when they are ready.
Bell Ringers
Each day at the beginning of class, students answer 2-4 multiple choice questions using a bubble-sheet. These questions review content that we have covered in class. The questions are linked below in sets of 20 questions each. In the grade book, they are referred to as Set 1, Set 2, and so forth. On the Google Slideshow below (Bell Ringer Questions) they are also labeled as Set 1, Set 2, and so forth. You will need to make sure your student completes the correct set.

Bill of Rights Projects
Students were given the choice of either creating a crossword puzzle or creating a cartoon for their Bill of Rights Project. Each project has a handout that guides students through the assignment, however due to copyright, those handouts cannot be posted online. They will need to request these forms in class if they have lost theirs or do not have it. Some details about each choice are listed below. Students are to complete only one project.

- Crossword: Students are to use the words provided on the handout as the terms for the crossword. They are to write a clue for each word that correctly describes the vocabulary word. They are then supposed to design the crossword on graph paper and provide an answer key.
- Cartoon: Students are to fill in the boxes on the handout with words and illustrations by following the printed directions in each box. Students do not have to color their cartoon, but are not supposed to use stick figures, or overly-simplified drawings. Many boxes require students to summarize amendments in their own words.
